Whatcha Want Today

"Whatcha want today".  This has been Jorja's favorite pretend game for probably a year now.  It is used to be every day she would ask for a dish towel to be tied around her waste and she would grab a notepad and pen and the come ask you "whatcha want today?".  She would scribble on her notepad and then come back promptly with your order.  Over time she stopped playing the game as often but the quality of her service has improved.  Now she asks follow up questions, provides you a list of specials for the day and today she asked me if I wanted pretend food or real food.

It's fun to watch my kids grow up but it happens so fast.  I know that phrase has been said many times before by a multitude of parents and grandparents, but it is so true.  I wanted to write this anecdote today knowing that tomorrow she may stop playing this cute game that has been a constant in our household as of late. Jorja is a sweet, observant, doll faced girl that I am so lucky to call my daughter.

So, what do I want today?
